Working with different types of businesses as an Online Business Manager

As an Online Business Manager, you can work with different types of businesses like solopreneurs, small businesses, and startups.

A solopreneur is someone who works alone to run their business. They don’t have any employees, and they manage everything by themselves. So, as an Online Business Manager, you’ll be working directly with the solopreneur and helping them with tasks like building their systems to scale, implementing automations, and managing their demand generation funnel.

Small businesses, on the other hand, have a team of employees but may still require your services. As an Online Business Manager, you’ll work closely with the business owner to manage their team, oversee projects, and keep things organized. You may also be responsible for handling the business’s financial records and tracking expenses.

Startups are new businesses that are just starting out. They may not have a large team or a lot of resources, but they have big ideas and goals. As an Online Business Manager, you’ll help the startup get off the ground by creating a plan for their online presence, developing marketing strategies, and managing their finances. You may also work closely with the founders to help them grow their business and achieve their goals.

Overall, working with solopreneurs, small businesses, and startups all have their unique challenges and rewards, but as an Online Business Manager, you can help these businesses succeed by providing valuable support and expertise.

As Prowess Project, we liken the role of the OBM in these difference companies to different types of knives.

Working with a Solopreneur: As the OBM, you are the swiss army knife!  You do it all!

Working with a small business: As the OBM, you are the butter knife. Your goal is to smooth out all processes.

Working with a startup: As an OBM, you are a steak knife.  You will have very specific tasks that you need to perform quickly and effectively.

Which of these are you drawn to?
